Acing your chess moves online is one thing, playing a “real” virtual game is something else, especially when your opponent is a star master player!
MindMentorz brings its students the golden opportunity to test their skills in a virtual chess game session where they will play and learn from one of the most popular voices of online chess for kids.
Chesskids.com and MindMentorz are coming together this season for a punchy virtual session with FunMaster Mike.
If your kid is familiar with FM Mike and his instructive sessions on chesskids.com, then here is the golden chance for him/her to receive live feedback from the popular player and coach and get better at one’s tactics.
Beat FunMaster Mike : A better podium to prove your mettle
The Beat FunMaster Mike – MindMentorz Edition is on 30th May 2021, at 7.30 PM (IST) with a limited number of 12 participants. Each child will get to play with FM Mike while he gives a live analysis and commentary on the match/game.
The program will be on a recorded private stream via Zoom. A Q&A session is also included where the young players get to ask questions and clarify their doubts with the award-winning international master player. All the participants will also get the recorded sessions of their games.
The virtual session is MindMentorz’s attempt to bring a broader podium for its students – not only as a part of progressive learning or pruning online chess skills but also to help the students get a wider exposure to the global chess arena. The fun-filled practical session would open the door to competitive chess online and polish their skills at the same.
The capsule session with FM Mike is intended to provide the participating students a 360 degree view of playing chess online and offline as well:
To recognize their strengths
To identify their flaws
To get adequate practical experience in the game as well as on online platforms
To instil confidence

Mastering Online Chess
With the ongoing pandemic, online games are seeing peeks, and have settled down with ease. Chess is perhaps the one popular sport that was salvaged by the pandemic and the lock-downs. The booming online chess has necessitated young chess players to get a grip on virtual games and master the new platforms.
Mind Mentorz has been devoting itself to online coaching since the Covid-19 outage, mentoring the little ones to cope up with the sudden change in the scenario. We find online chess to be a powerful tool to drag the “locked-in” kids out of their mole hills of alienation and socialize in a healthy environment with peers and mentors.
We believe that by arranging the right stimulating environment, we could engage children in a productive and progressive course of mental and emotional development. Beat FunMaster Mike- MindMentorz Edition is one such effort to replenish our students’ skills and progress as well as encouraging social interaction with experts of the field.
The Fear Factor
For most kids the fear of confronting better players can be tormenting and weakens their confidence. Nobody wants to fail miserably! As mentors, we help them confront their fear of failure and buckle themselves for better warfare through playing with better players. Beat FunMaster Mike is such an opportunity to alleviate fears through a fun-filled, brief session of virtual chess. The casual format of the game and the familiar voice of Chesskids would help the children relax, feel at ease and learn as they go.
What more can be said when you get personal Instructions from an international player who has been through similar stages of growing up with chess; who understands a child’s perception of success and failure more than anyone; and has a passion to impart the best of his knowledge and experience to kids around the world!
